Gasharu is produced by family owned farms in the area around Lake Kivu. A lot of proceeds go to community investment such as livestock purchasing and social development programs. Gasharu natural benefits from being next to a national park were they get a good amount of rainfall to make the cherries juicier and the coffee fruitier.
In the cup expect a pleasant crisp apple profile, a touch of citrus acidity balanced out by brown spices. This is very reminiscent of a crisp apple cider enjoyed on a summer day.
