Burundi Gishubi Lot 31 : Relationship Reserve
This beautiful washed coffee is incredibly complex with distinct floral notes along with brown sugar & stewed fruit. Gishubi is produced by 800 farmers near the Kibira Forest in Kayanza and is part of the Long Miles Coffee Project, an organization run by Ben & Kristy Carlson meant to empower coffee producers from Kayanza, Burundi. Since Gishubi is located so close to the Kibira Forest, the coffee cherries grow & mature slowly from the cool forest mist which is apparent in the coffee’s heavy sweetness. Long Miles is here again for the Fourth year in a row and every year its like Christmas, this year & this Gishubi lot is no exception.
